The SAM Atlantic Champion Pool Table combines precision engineering with competitive-quality performance. Available in 6 ft and 7 ft sizes, it features a single-piece precision-machined slate bed for a level, consistent playing surface, supporting smooth ball roll across every shot. 

This table has been trusted for the annual BAPTO Pool Finals for over 15 years, Britain’s longest-running, largest, and most prestigious pub pool championships. It incorporates SAM’s ProActive cushion system, where profiled cushions are fitted into an aluminium-extruded top frame to provide consistent rebound response. The cabinet is crafted from durable plywood with chrome corner trims and mirrored legs, blending performance with a contemporary look.

An internal ball-return system with carpeted runs delivers smooth, quieter ball collection to the baulk end exit box. The table is available with a variety of cloth types and colours and comes with a full set of essential accessories, ready for play.

Delivery to mainland UK addresses and professional installation by a two-person team are included, with estimated delivery typically around 4–5 weeks due to the table being made to order.

Plywood construction offers SAM tables great strength and durability without added weight. It is less vulnerable to damp conditions, simpler to repair when damaged, and features sturdier joints and fixings compared to typical MDF.

Tournament-quality Slate Bed

SAM slate bed pool tables features a single-piece, precision-machined slate bed approximately 20mm thick. This one-piece construction ensures a perfectly level playing surface and supports professional-grade play.

Proactive Cushion System

SAM pool tables use a fully aluminium-extruded top frame with all components bolted metal-to-metal for strength and precision. The ProActive cushion system is engineered for consistent, accurate ball response, with cushions profiled to fit the frame and secured by full-length plates. This design ensures perfect cushion height, eliminates the need for unsightly metal strips, and allows the frame and slate to be levelled as a single unit. The result is a playing experience comparable to top-tier steel block snooker tables, offering unmatched performance for serious 8-ball and 9-ball players.

Cushioned Ball Return

This SAM pool table boasts carpeted internal ball runs, resulting in decreased noise levels as the ball heads back to the baulk end exit box.

Table and Cabinet Finish

On the majority of SAM pool tables you can customise your table with a wide range of available finishes to suit your space and style. There are options included as standard, or for an upgrade, you can choose from a selection of premium finishes.

Cloth Type

Every table comes with Atlas American Speed cloth includes as standard. This high quality cloth features high polyester content and is densely woven with thin threads. Expertly finished for low gloss and great consistency and is resistant to nicks and cuts. On selected tables you can also choose Victoria cloths within the standard price.

On selected tables you can also upgrade to a choice of premium cloths from Hainsworth, one of the world’s leading names in cue sports fabrics. Made in Yorkshire, England, Hainsworth cloths are renowned for their unmatched quality, precision, and durability—trusted by top players and professional table fitters alike.

You can choose between two of their high-quality options: Smart and Elite Pro, each offering a distinct balance of feel, speed, and durability to suit your playing style. Smart – Durable, napped wool cloth ideal for clubs or home use, balancing longevity with good playability. Elite Pro – Fast, smooth worsted cloth designed for precision and speed, perfect for competitive or high-end pool tables.

Cloth Colour

Whether you pick the included Atlas or Victoria cloths or upgrade to Hainsworth Smart or Elite Pro, all types of cloths offer a wide choice of colours to match your taste. Please note, your cloth choice may affect the available colour options, as each type comes in its own range of shades.
